Quality is more than just their name.
The story of Quality Custom Cabinetry, Inc. is almost too good to believe. What started as a modest 2 person operation nestled in the Dutch farmland of Pennsylvania in 1968 has expanded to become one of the most high profile custom cabinetry businesses in the nation, designing kitchens for professional athletes and movie stars, amassing tons of press, and collaborating with high-profile chefs. They now employ hundreds of people and generate millions in annually in sales. In the world of custom cabinetry you could say that QCCI has “made it.”
But it isn’t just lip service that has gotten them where they are. Their myriad of design options and custom tailoring make them capable of designing for any taste, be it American Classic, Shaker, French Country, Contemporary or European. While kitchens were their original focus, QCCI changed its name in 1995 from Quality Custom Kitchens to reflect the fact that they are now designing solutions for every room in the house. One look at their gallery and you’ll agree, QCCI is helping to create some of the most beautiful homes in the world.
Many notable celebrity homes have been graced with the design work of QCCI. Their cabinets have been featured in Architectural Digest, This Old House, Veranda, Old House Interiors, Better Homes and Gardens, House and Garden, Elle Décor and countless others. And yet, despite their high success QCCI hasn’t lost their focus on quality of life and quality of fabrication. They’ve recently received their KCMA Environmental Stewardship Certification, and they use Columbia’s hardwood plywood made with PureBond® formaldehyde-free technology in applications where indoor air quality and health are a focus.
What’s more, in a new collaboration with award winning French chef Alain Roby, QCCI is now donating a portion of their 2010 sales to benefit The Saving Tiny Hearts Society, a non-profit that works to raise funds for congenital heart defect research. They believe that life is relational and that kitchen cabinetry is just one part of a happy, healthy home. According to Glen Good, President and CEO of QCCI “If through our daily work we can, in some small way, improve home life… there really is nothing more beautiful in the world.”
They might be stars, but Quality Custom Cabinets, Inc. is anything but inaccessible. They have showrooms in 32 different states and their online tools can help you answer key questions about your kitchen before you ever meet with a designer, helping you tailor to your family’s needs.
